I stayed with this line for a long time: “And while I was climbing, my children kept growing.” Sometimes it isn’t the climb itself that weighs on us, but the moment we realize what happened while we were climbing.
I climbed for many years and paid a price. Living life with its passions and relationships is more important. I am learning that lesson now, and also learning the value of security. It is difficult to juggle both.

It’s a catch 22 for sure.
I love the phrases about "the climb".. I relate to that a little too much.. it all feels like a climb some days.
